Delhi Schools Summer Vacations Announced | No Teaching/ Learning activity for students till 30th June

Delhi government has declared Summer vacations for school students till June 30. It was declared that the summer vacations will be given as usual from 11th May to 30th June to government and government aided schools' children. Students will not be called to schools for any learning activity in the wake of ongoing pandemic and resulting lockdown and social distancing norms. On Wednesday, Directorate of Education took the decision on summer vacations extending till June 30. Delhi's summer vacations in Schools are announced from 11 May onwards however, online classes will continue for all students in holidays,

Delhi Schools Summer Vacations

The government announced,- The summer vacation in Govt and Govt aided schools shall be observed,  as usual, from May 11 to June 30, 2020, for students. However, keeping in view the COVID-19 pandemic, students shall not be called to schools for any teaching-learning activity during the summer vacation.

Earlier, the government asked the schools to shut down to prevent the spread of the virus. All the Heads of Delhi Govt and Govt aided schools under the Directorate of Education have also been directed to ensure that all students of their respective schools are duly informed regarding the summer vacations through either SMS or telephone or WhatsApp.

All the Delhi government schools will be giving summer vacations to their students till June 30 and will not call the students for any activity amid the lockdown. The private schools will announce the vacations as per their own rules and regulations.  The schools have been closed in Delhi since March as a precautionary measure in the wake of Covid-19.

In other years, during the summer vacation students who struggle with their learning basics come to school to attend classes under Mission Buniyaad – our foundational learning programme. This year we cannot conduct that but all the different activities we have introduced during the lockdown will continue to keep learning going, said education director Binay Bhushan.
