The Schools in the national capital are reopening from tomorrow, Monday for classes 10 and 12. Practical study classes including laboratory hours are allowed to open for class 10 and 12 students going to take practical board exams or pre-board.
All government, govt aided, and private schools except falling in containment zone/s are allowed to open from January 18, following the guidelines laid down by the DoE to tackle novel coronavirus.
"Delhi Govt. has allowed all schools in Delhi, especially outside the containment zones, to reopen for Classes 10 and 12 from January 18 in view of Pre-board exams and practical exams beginning from 1st April", an official told See Latest.
The Directorate of Education had issued instructions to schools to follow all Covid-19 guidelines when practical studies resume. All students and guardians are advised to follow the guidelines laid by the Directorate in view of the current situation.
"Shorter class hours, frequent sanitization, and multiple entries and exit points inside the school would be seen from Monday, January 18", a leading English daily reported on the schools re-opening in Delhi.
However, it has been cleared that physical attendance is not compulsory and students will only attend schools with the consent of parents.
