On Thursday, Delhi reported 12,306 new Covid-19 cases and 43 deaths, a reduction from the number of infections reported on Wednesday. The city's optimism rate now stands at 21.48 percent.
Satyendar Jain, the Delhi Health Minister, said on Thursday that the peak of the third Covid-19 wave appears to have passed in the national capital, which saw a record single-day increase of 28,000 cases. He did caution, though, that the city is still in danger and that the trend must be monitored before limitations are eased. "The numbers have decreased from 30% to 22-24%; they have decreased, but not to the point where we can open up everything."
