Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal is briefing media on the initial positive results of the use of Plasma treatment to COVID19 patients. As per ANI report Delhi Chief Minister to brief media at 12 Noon on Plazma Therapy and initial outcomes in Hospitals in Delhi. This will be third interaction of Chief Minister with Media personnel in last one month. The Chief Minister is also expected to speak on further actions of Government in fighting Coronavirus pandemic. Chief Minister will be live at 1200 hours Noon and to brief media on Covid19 draft and present situations in Delhi.

Likely the focus of media briefing would be on Plasma Therapy's results as State Government's Hospital and several Private Hospitals in Delhi have started experimenting Plasma Therapy on Covid19 patients. The report given by Medical staff and initial results on Corona patients would be brought into light, Sources said.

The briefing may encircle Covid19 stats, current situation in Delhi and likely the new directions or instructions would be given by CM Kejriwal. From food supply to labourers and DBT Transfers to migran labourers, CM Kejriwal in his last briefing also announced to not relieve services in Delhi.

CM Kejriwal briefing Highlights-

In the last few days, we have tried plasma therapy on 4 patients at Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital. Till now the results are encouraging, said Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on COVID19.

  • We are happy with the positive results in the 4 patients. Blood & plasma is ready for 2-3 other patients that we have at LNJP hospital, we may give them the plasma therapy today, said Dr. SK Sarin, Director, Institute of Liver & Biliary Science.
  • At this time, we need those people who have recovered from COVID19 and are at their homes. We need them to show their patriotism and donate blood plasma: Dr. SK Sarin, Director, Institute of Liver & Biliary Science.

In National Capital the number of Coronavirus hotspots have increased in last seven days and also the containment zones have increased rapidly cornering East Delhi to West. The number of Coronavirus positive cases in Delhi have reached 2376 whereas 50 people have lost their lives and 808 patients have been cured. (As per MOHFW data till 23 April)
