Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has made a big announcement to deal with the worsened situation of Corona. Delhi weekend curfew is now being imposed. During this time, the mall, gym, the spa will all be closed. But curfew passes will be given to the people for necessary works. Chief Minister Kejriwal announced this in a press conference.
While speaking about Delhi weekend curfew, CM Kejriwal said, 'We will give curfew passes to people associated with essential services and for weddings. Instructions are being given to close the mall, gym, spa, auditorium. Cinema halls can run at 30 percent capacity. A weekly market will be allowed in one day and according to one zone. Restaurants will no longer be allowed to sit and eat, only home delivery will be allowed'

CM Kejriwal has said that there is no shortage of beds in hospitals in Delhi. He said, ''At this time, in such a big pandemic, it is our endeavor that every needy person should get a bed. Therefore, do not insist on being admitted to the same hospital. You can also go to another hospital. At present, 5000 beds are empty in the hospitals of Delhi. The number of oxygen beds is still being increased."
Delhi weekend curfew has been imposed as 17,282 new cases of COVID-19 were reported on Wednesday, which is the highest ever. COVID-19 again killed 104 people. While the number of active cases reached 50,736. Earlier on Tuesday, 13,468 cases were registered and 81 deaths were reported in the capital.
Meanwhile, 9,952 people have recovered from the infection. The number of those who get rid of the virus has now reached 705,162. After the death of 104 people, the total number of deaths has increased to 11,540.
