Air Force flypast, Navy Lightening & Army Band on May 3 for Solidarity, said CDS

The Chief of Defence Staff, Gen Bipin Rawat has announced that all three defence wings Indian Air Force, Indian Navy and Indian Army to express solidarity on May 3. In press briefing CDS Bipin Rawat praising the Corona Warriors for their exemplary contribution in fight against Covid19, said that India. Air Force to conduct flypast from Eastern base to Western base in Dibrugarh and from Northern Air base to most Southern. IAF to shwoer patles during flypast. CDS Rawat also added that Indian Navy and Indian Army will also join to their part on May 3, expressing solidarity with nation and the people

In his press statement CDS Gen Rawat said that Air Force flypast, Navy's lightening across seas and Indian Army contingent band not only in Delhi but also at each district will partake on May 3. On Saturday Home Minister Amit Shah also extended gratitude toward the Armed Forces and their solidarity on May 3.

Speaking on Indian Air Force behalf CDS intimated that from Srinagar to Trivandrum & another one starting from Dibrugarh in Assam to Kutch in Gujarat Indian Air Force to conduct flypast on May 3. It'll include both transport & fighter aircraft, said Chief of Defence Staff Gen Bipin Rawat. The plan of action&various activities of thanksgiving from the armed forces to COVID19 warriors was finalized at today's meeting with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh,NSA Ajit Doval with Chief of Defence Staff Gen Bipin Rawat and the three Service Chiefs: Defence Ministry officials.

During the India Air Force's flypast, the aircraft will also be showering flower petals at some places: Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat.

On Saturday Union Home Minister Amit Shah also expressed gratitude to Armed Forces for their exemplary contribution to the nation. 'Who else can understand importance of keeping our motherland safe than our Armed forces. Kudos to the CDS&our Armed forces for their decision to thank the Corona Warriors, who're working relentlessly to keep our nation safe against the menace of COVID-19,' said Home Minister Amit Shah.

Nation shall witness tomorrow flypasts by fighter & transport aircraft of Indian Air Force at multiple locations. These aircraft will cover major towns starting Srinagar to Thiruvanathapuram & from Dibrugarh to Kutch. The helicopters from IAF (Indian Air Force ) & Indian Navy will fly over hospitals treating Corona patients in the cities and shower petals as a tribute to the efforts and sacrifice of Corona warriors, said Colonel Aman Anand, PRO, Indian Army

The Navy on its part will have its warships deployed in formations in coastal areas in the evening on May 3. Navy warships would also be lit up and their choppers would be used for showering petals on hospitals: Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat

The Army on its part will conduct mountain band displays along some of the COVID hospitals in almost every district of our country. The armed forces will also lay wreathe at the police memorial on May 3 in support of our police forces
