Vidya Balan, Ronnie Screwvala reunite in their short film titled - Natkhat

Vidya & Ronnie short film Natkhat - Bollywood versatile actress Vidya Balan, who will be seen playing an ISRO scientist in her upcoming film 'Mission Mangal', has now entered in the short film named "Natkhat". She has joined with Entrepreneur & philanthropist Ronnie Screwvala for it. Sonakshi Sinha, Sharman JoshiNithya MenonJagan Shakti and produced by Fox Star Hindi and Hope Productions. The film, that's expected to show the same inspiring story, is slated to hit the screens as the big Independence Day release this year.

    Vidya Balan, who has come a long way in her career, has started shooting for her first short film Natkhat, produced by Ronnie Screwvala. Entrepreneur & philanthropist Ronnie Screwvala have joined hands for a socially relevant short film titled - Natkhat. Being essentially made for international film festivals, Natkhat addresses several issues such as patriarchy, gender inequality, rape culture, domestic abuse, separations by men in different relationships with women. The film gives a social message of parenting being key and potentially the best solution to abolish gender inequality and rape culture.

This film marks the firsts for Vidya i.e. her first short film as an actor and interestingly also her first outing as a producer. Vidya said, "It's the beautiful and powerful story that called out to me in a way that made me want to act in it and also turn producer. Echoing Vidya's sentiment, Ronnie Screwvala said, When I first heard the script for Natkhat, I immediately knew this film had to be made. The film addresses so many issues and gives out a powerful message too. I am very happy to collaborate with Vidya on this film"...
Written by Annukampa Harsh & Shaan Vyas and developed with RSVP associate producer Sanaya Irani, Natkhat is directed by Shaan Vyas and produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Vidya Balan.
