Coolie No. 1 is an upcoming bollywood movie of 2020. This is remake of the 1995 film of the govinda's film with same name. It's comedy film whihc directed by David Dhawan and produced by Vashu Bhagnani. The film starring by Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan, with Paresh Rawal in a supporting role. Varun dhawan shares a glimpses after wrapping up Dubbing session for Coolie No 1. Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan's film Shooting  began from 8th August 2019 in Bangkok. The film is set to be theatrically released on 1 May 2020, on the Special occasion of International Workers' Day.

Varun Dhawan shared his excitement about his slate of upcoming masala films in an interview with news portal, Yeah, I’m getting back to the commercial child-friendly genre. I want to do such films the minute I start missing them. The timing is right for us because January has several important films on serious issues,' adding that, 'I love being an entertainer, and making people smile is a big deal with our family. My dad’s films have always spread happiness too.'

Revealing more about the much-anticipated ‘Coolie No. 1’, he shared, 'It’s a movie for this generation though we've retained the screenplay, which was brilliant. Sara Ali Khan and that i try to try to to what our seniors – Govinda and Karisma Kapoor did within the original, under David Dhawan’s direction. It’s been a crazy ride. It’s not a remake but more of an adaptation.'
