Surekha Sikri, who became a nationwide famous onscreen grandmother from the serial Balika Vadhu, passed away at the age of 75. Veteran actress Surekha Sikri breathed her last on Friday morning. Her manager told in a conversation with a media channel that Surekha Sikri had suffered a heart attack due to which she died.

Surekha Sikri, who ruled everyone by becoming a grandmother, started her career in 1978 with the film 'Kissa Kursi Ka'. She played the role of Meera in this film. Directed by Amrit Nahata, it was a film with a political background. Although Surekha Sikri remained active in films, she did only 29 films in her entire film career. His films include films like Little Buddha, Nazar, Naseem, Sarfarosh, Dillagi, Tumsa Nahi Dekha. Surekha Sikri last acted in a film in the year 2020 in Ghost Stories.

Along with Bollywood, Surekha Sikri spread the magic of her acting on television as well. She did many shows on television like 'Balika Vadhu' and 'Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani'. Surekha Sikri Was Honored with National Award
Surekha Sikri has acted in theatres, apart from television and films. She has been active in theatre. Apart from Hindi films, he also worked in Malayalam films. Surekha Sikri was honored with the National Award not once but thrice. He was awarded the National Award for the film 'Tamas' in 1986, 'Mammo' in 1995, and 'Badhaai Ho' in the year 2018.
