Super 30 Box Office Collection Day 19: Hrithik Roshan and Mrunal Thakur starrer Super 30 box office collection has seen a significant decline in its third week. However, the film has to face a tough competition from some Bollywood and Hollywood new releases. Though the film's journey so far has not been easy and the film's director Vikas Bahl's name came in Metoo campaign and then he was charged with sexual assault. The release date has been shifted several times since then. Also, Super 30 starring Hrithik Roshan had seen a 50% drop in his earnings in the second week. Super 30 collected Rs 75.58 crore in its first week, Rs 37.85 crore in second week and Rs 12.25 crore in its third week so far at the box office. The film has also declared tax-free in Rajasthan, Bihar, Gujarat, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, which has given rise to its box office collection in these big states.
The film's box office collection was Rs 1.39 crore on Monday, Rs 1.37 crore on Tuesday, thus making a total box office collection of the film reached upto Rs 128.67 crore. In the Delhi and UP circuit, Super 30 has collected an impressive of Rs 26.60 crore, Rs 11.14 crore in Punjab, Rs 6.07 crore in Rajasthan, Rs 5.28 crore in Bihar and Rs 40.17 crore in Mumbai. Film critic and Trade analyst Taran Adarsh said Super 30 could cross Rs 130 crore mark by the end of its third week.
Super 30 is directed by Queen-famed Vikas Bahl, received mixed reviews from critics but the audience hailed film's storyline, which is based on the life of Bihar-based mathematician Anand Kumar. In real-life, Kumar runs a Super 30 programme that provides coaching to 30 students from economically backward section to crack the prestigious IIT-entrance exam every year.
Released on 12th July, the film also stars Mrunal Thakur, Virendra Saxena, Pankaj Tripathi and Amit Sadh in key roles and entered the 100 crore club in the 2nd week, becoming the seventh highest grossing Hindi film of 2019.
