Former Indian Caption and current president of (BCCI), Sourav Ganguly has often been question about a biopic made on his life. Dada, as he is fondly called, has revealed several times that many directors approached him to make a movie on his life but nothing has been finalized. Also, when Ganguly was interrogated who should play him on the big screen, Sometime back, Ganguly preferred Hrithik Roshan to play himself on the Big-screen. For the past some years, the process of making biopic films has been going on in Bollywood. This year too many biopic films are going to be released. Such films as Kapil Dev's biopic '83', Jayalalithaa's biopic 'Thalaivi', Gunjan Saxena's biopic 'Gunjan Saxaina with The Kargil Girl are included in this list. But amidst all this, there are reports of Bollywood becoming another Biopic. Early-stage reports of a Sourav Ganguly Bio-pic is on the works and film might be produced by Karan Johar.

According to a Mumbai Mirror report, Karan Johar has been spotted outside the BCCI office. It is believed that Karan wants to make a film over Saurabh Ganguly, in this connection, he reached the BCCI office. According to the news, Karan has also met Saurabh Ganguly twice before. However, no information has been revealed about the film, nor has any such statement come from Karan. But from the many meetings that have taken place in the past, it is being speculated that Karan wants to make a film on Saurabh.

Earlier, it was said that Ekta Kapoor wants to make a biopic on Former Indian skipper Saurabh Ganguly and during an interaction with Asian Age, he was interrogated about the same. To which Dada said, 'Is it, Ekta Kapoor? Then yes, she gives the point of view and we talked about it once. Nothing went after that I have never thought of a biopic on me. If someone will make a film on me. I hope people would be interested in seeing the film.
