Sooryavanshi release date Postponed due to COVID-19 ! New Date yet to be announced

Director Rohit Shetty’s Multi-Starrer Film, Sooryavanshi has been postponed. As per recent news and confirmation from actor Akshay Kumar Sooryavanshi movie amid COVID19 virus and public safety is postponed. Sooryavanshi movie was all set to release on 24th March 2020 but due to the immense spread of Covid-19, the crew had to postpone the release date. Although, the movie makers informed that the Sooryavanshi new release date would be announced only when the circumstances are under control. However, full-fledge promotions were being done by the Star Cast; Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif & Ajay Devgn.

A Tweet by the lead actor, Akshay Kumar reflected the excitement to present the film to the audience. Since safety and health both are priorities, The Team Sooryavanshi has not only appealed to stay safe and to take a great care to the audience, but also to keep the excitement alive for their film Sooryavanshi.  

The tweet further mentions, ‘Sooryavanshi is an experience that we have created for you with over a year of dedication hard work, and the response we received for its trailer was nothing less than electrifying and made it clear that this film truly belongs to you...’

Akshay and Director’s Earlier Decisions

On 5 March 2019, the day when two posters of the film were out, Akshay Kumar and Rohit Shetty announced that they have planned to release the film on 22 May 2020, coinciding with the festival Eid-ul-Fitr. Later, it was announced on 12 June 2019 that the release has been preponed to March 2020.
