Box Office Collection: The second clash of 2020 at the Bollywood box office that saw 'Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan' bully off against ‘Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship’ has seen another clear win for one and a defeat for another. The Ayushmann Khurrana and Jitendra Kumar starrer that delivered to the large screen a modern-day gay romance has zoomed before Vicky Kaushal’s horror flick. According to reports on Box office India ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’ directed by Hitesh Kewalya and also starring Neena Gupta, Gajraj Rao, Manvi Gagroo, Manu Rishi Chadha, has earned Expected to Rs 8 crore net in its second weekend. This has taken the Ayushmann Khurrana film’s total collection is stand for Rs 49.50 crore.
Although film simplest collections received, it's still managed to take care of its lead over Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Bhoot’, that earned an estimated Rs 4.50 crore net in its second week. The collections have boosted the general total to an estimated Rs 27 crore net. According to trade experts, both films have just one more week to shovel in the large bucks before they're met with stiff competition from Tiger Shroff’s action entertainer ‘Baaghi 3’. The film has a decent collection in the second weekend. This is the only week to increase collections in front of Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, after this Tiger Shroff's Baaghi 3 will be released on March 6, which will have an impact on the collections of both films.
‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’ and ‘Bhoot’ clashed at the box office on February 21. Aysuhman’s flick managed to require the lead from day one and went on to take care of its hold over the ticket windows within the days to follow. While the romantic comedy was met with good reviews and great word of mouth, an equivalent couldn't be said for Vicky’s horror film that's said to be the first part of a franchise.
