Following his on-screen portrayal of Sanjay Dutt in 'Sanju,' actor Ranbir Kapoor is slated to co-star with the actor in the next historical drama 'Shamshera.' In the Karan Malhotra-directed film, both actors will portray antagonists. The Shamshera Trailer was released today, and it is nothing short of a visual treat for fans and spectators. The trailer introduces the audience to a dacoit who is completing his father's purpose. Ranbir portrays both father and son in the film. Sanjay Dutt portrays the antagonist Shuddh Singh, who is hired by the British to find the criminal who has terrorized the local peasants.

Vaani Kapoor appears to have a romantic relationship with Ranbir's character in this film. Sanjay Dutt was most recently seen in Akshay Kumar's Samrat Prithviraj. He also portrayed the antagonist Adheera in Yash's KGF: Chapter 2. Vaani was last seen in Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui.

Shamshera Trailer-

Shamshera is a brave and fierce character in the film. As a result, his adversary had to be even more ferocious and massive in every way. That's why Sanjay Dutt perfectly fits the role of villain in the Shamshera film. 

Shamshera was originally scheduled to be released in theatres on December 20, 2019, but was significantly delayed owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was subsequently planned for 25 June 2021, however, because of the second wave of the pandemic, the release was pushed back to 18 March 2022, which was then pushed back again due to the Omicron variant spread. It will now be released worldwide on July 22, 2022. The film will be distributed in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, as well as in IMAX.
