It has gone tax-free in two states and I am assuming more states will follow. It is a motivational film promoting women empowerment, specifically, the girl child. I assume it would be a good word of mouth film and eventually, in the long run, it would be a successful film irrespective of the competition, Girish told. The factors working in favour of Saand Ki Aankh are its star cast, Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar, who have delivered great performances in the recent past and an inspiring narrative written by Balwinder Singh Janjua. Directed by Tushar.
On being asked to predict the Day 2 collection of Saand Ki Aankh, he said, The pre-Diwali period is not considered good for business. Yet, I believe the film has the potential to earn anywhere between Rs 3 crore and Rs 5 crore.
Girish added that the film might suffer a bit because of Diwali falling on a Sunday. Most people would be busy on Diwali and hence, the film might lose some business. Had Diwali fallen on Friday, the film would have done really well on Saturday. Sunday, in any case, would have been there to it boost its collection.
