RIP Irrfan: From filmstars to political leaders, this is how condolences coming

One of the finest actors that the Indian soil has ever producer and arguably the best in contemporary Bollywood the maverick, the ever-humble and fighter Irrfan Khan has left us. Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan died on Wednesday after battling a neuroendocrine tumor for two years. The actor was 53. From filmstar to political leaders all are paid tributes. Film actors, directors and other celebrities mourned his death on social media and called it an unimaginable loss for the film industry. Among those who paid tributes were actors Amitabh Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu, politicians Arvind Kejriwal, Rahul Gandhi, and others. Irrfan Khan's last Bollywood film Angrezi Medium becomes all-time memorable.

Prime Ministry Narendra Modi said 'Irrfan Khan’s demise is a loss to the world of cinema and theatre. He will be remembered for his versatile performances across different mediums. My thoughts are with his family, friends, and admirers. May his soul rest in peace.'

Shah Rukh Khan has paid tribute to Irrfan Khan 'My friend. inspiration & the greatest actor of our times. Allah blesses your soul Irrfan Bhai...will miss you as much as cherish the fact that you were part of our lives' in Urdu, 'Paimana kahe hai koi maikhana kahe hai. Duniya teri aankhon ko bhi kya kya na kahe hai.' 

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan shared his condolences on Twitter. He wrote, 'Very sad to hear about our dear colleague Irrfan. How tragic and sad. Such wonderful talent. My heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. Thank you, Irrfan for all the joy you have brought to our lives through your work. You will be fondly remembered. Love. a.'

Amitabh tweeted, 'Just getting news of the passing of Irfaan Khan. this is a most disturbing and sad news An incredible talent a gracious colleague a prolific contributor to the World of Cinema. left us too soon.  creating a huge vacuum Prayers and duas.'

Akshay Kumar shared his condolences on Twitter. 'Such terrible news. saddened to hear about the demise of Irrfan Khan, one of the finest actors of our time. May God give strength to his family in this difficult time.'

Salman Khan shared his condolences on Twitter. Big loss to the film industry, his fans, all of us n especially his family. My heart goes out to his family. May God give them strength. Rest in peace brother u shall always be missed n be in all our hearts.

Congress leader Rahul Gandi wrote, 'I’m sorry to hear about the passing of Irrfan Khan. A versatile & talented actor, he was a popular Indian brand ambassador on the global film & tv stage. He will be greatly missed. My condolences to his family, friends & fans at this time of grief.
