A Twitter user named Ramesh Solanki criticized the filmmakers for spreading Hinduphobia. He tweeted, " Are the Censor board members and Prasoon Joshi sleeping? Allowing such derogatory language for Hindu deities and Hindu rituals Stop this nonsense Please take note Narendra Modi Ji, Amit Shah Ji & Anurag Thakur Ji.

Another user by the name Vinaya Bhat criticized the government for not taking stern action against such films despite multiple complaints. He wrote, "Regardless of the intensity of protests from Hindu groups of Hinduphobic films, the government takes no action whatsoever Due to the absence of binding regulations,OTT platforms are showing web series that depict Hinduphobic and anti-national content."

Another Twitterati slammed Atrangi Re even further, writing, "They want to advertise the movie in Pakistan and they know that Hinduphobic content will not stop Hindus from seeing it... So keep the cake and eat it too, wala funda hai unka... we need to start boycotting, and only then will they return to normalcy." "Atrangi Re" features a scene that mocks Shiv ji and Hanuman ji, according to another. What exactly is Bollywood's problem with Hinduism? Why is there such an obsessive need to include something Hinduphobic in every film? This industry should be boycotted until it goes out of business."
