Ranbir Kapoor and Karan Johar to Reunite for Bhesshma Remake. After the mega-success of Kabir Singh, the trend of remakes is in a full swing in Bollywood. A few months ago, Karan Johar has acquired the rights of Vijay Deverakonda’s Dear Comrade and the latest report suggests that the filmmaker is planning to buy the remake rights of another South film and in a mood to cast Ranbir Kapoor as a male lead.
As per the report, Karan Johar is planning to acquire the Hindi remake rights of the latest Telugu success, Bheeshma. Which starring Nithiin and Rashmika Mandanna, the film released on 21st February 2020. Bheeshma received a good response from fans and critics. A report suggests that Telugu romantic comedy film will be remade in Hindi and Karan Johar might buy its rights. Karan Johar recently watched the film and is super impressed. He thinks Bheeshma has the potential to form it to Bollywood then, he has certain plans for an equivalent.
Reports also suggest that Ranbir Kapoor is being considered to play the role of Nithiin from the original. However, none of these reports have been confirmed yet. He is already presenting Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday's upcoming untitled Telugu film, which is being directed by Puri Jagannadh. He also watched Thalapathy Vijay's blockbuster Bigil and praised the film on Twitter, calling Atlee a 'superstar director' and said Vijay is 'an absolute festive joy.'
