After Doordarshan, 'Ramayana' and 'Mahabharata' to be re-telecasted on StarPlus and Colors

After re-telecasted Ramayana and Mahabharat, DD National continues to be the most viewed channel during the lockdown. The telecast of Ramayana on Doordarshan wrote a new story of success. While topping the TRP charts, Ramayana also holds the record for the most-watched shows worldwide. The episode, which aired on April 16, was watched by more than 70 million people worldwide, more than even the most popular and popular show Games of Thrones. In view of this wild success of Ramayana, now this mythological serial is also being broadcast on private channels. 

'Ramayana' and 'Mahabharata' to be re-telecasted on StarPlus and Colors

Ramanand Sagar's Ramayana telecast is now going on StarPlus. The channel has given information about this through social media. According to the tweet made by the channel, the telecast of Ramayana is starting today at 7.30 pm on May 4 - 'Ramayana, the story of Ayodhya residents, the best of men, the beloved Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram from May 4, Monday to Sunday 7.30 pm on StarPlus.'

 

On the other hand, the Colors TV channel will show BR Chopra's Mahabharata from today 4 May. The channel told about the time by tweeting on Sunday- Get ready to watch once again the unique story of Mahabharata, every day from tomorrow at 7 pm only on Colors.

'Ramayana' and 'Mahabharata' Timing, Date, Channel 

after the first lockdown was announced on 24 March, the re-telecast of the Ramayana and Mahabharata serials was announced by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Ramayana started airing on DD National and Mahabharata DD Bharati from 28 March. The telecast of the serial on DD National was scheduled for two hours at 9 am and at 9 pm. At the same time, Mahabharata was aired at 12 noon and at 7 pm. 

Both shows once again attracted a large number of viewers. People renewed their old memories through this broadcast. Ramayana created new viewership records and due to these shows, Doordarshan became the number one channel. Private channel shows in the top 5 shows in TRP charts were replaced by Doordarshan's Ramayana and Mahabharata. The Mahabharata is also being broadcast on DD Metro at this time.
