Raksha Bandhan Shoot begins: The shooting of the film, which Akshay Kumar gifted to his sister Alka Hiranandani on the last Raksha Bandhan, has started in Mumbai on Monday. Akshay, who arrived on the shoot in a yellow outfit, has released a picture from the sets of his new film 'Raksha Bandhan' with its director Aanand L Rai. Apart from this, in another picture, he is also seen with the actresses who will play the role of sister of Akshay's character in the film.
Alka is also the co-presenter of her brother's film. Last year, Akshay had revealed the release date of this film as this year's Bhaiya Dooj and if the shooting is done at full speed, then Akshay Kumar can still fulfill the promise of this release date. According to the information, this film of Akshay Kumar will be about the relationship between brothers and sisters, the name of this film is 'Raksha Bandhan'.
The film is being directed by Aanand L Rai who has earlier shot for a film 'Atrangi Re' with Akshay Kumar, Sara Ali Khan, and Dhanush. The announcement of 'Raksha Bandhan' was made by Akshay Kumar by sharing a poster of it on his official Twitter account, in which Akshay Kumar is seen hugging sisters. Apart from the name of the film on this poster, it is written 'Bas sisters give 100 percent return'.
According to last year's announcement, the film 'Raksha Bandhan' is to be released in theaters on November 5. Diwali is on 4th November this year and Bhaiya Dooj will be worshiped on the very next day of the film's release i.e. on 6th November. Sharing this poster of his film, Akshay Kumar wrote in his tweet, "A story that touches your heart so deeply and instantly. This is such a film of my career that I have signed immediately. I dedicate the film Raksha Bandhan to my sister Alka and the loveliest brother-sister relationship in this world."
Raksha Bandhan's shoot has started in Mumbai on Monday in a very peaceful environment following the COVID-19 SOPs. Actress Bhumi Pednekar also took part in the film's first day of shooting. Sahejmin Kaur, Deepika Khanna, Saadia Khatib, and Smriti Shrikant are playing the role of Akshay Kumar's sisters in the film.
On the very first day of the Raksha Bandhan shoot, it was also revealed that this film has now been taken by Zee Studios under its banner. The film is now produced by Zee Studios and will be co-produced by Akshay's sisters Alka and Anand. It is produced by Akshay's company Cape of Good Films and Aanand L Rai's company Color Yellow Productions.
