Raksha Bandhan, Akshay Kumar's latest movie, is not doing well at the box office, but the producers are determined to find the silver lining. According to a new poster given by the film's team, the film made ₹34 crores over 5 days of the extended five-day weekend.
UP and Bihar were the centers that outperformed during Raksha Bandhan Holiday over the 5 days. Surprisingly, Gujarat has not really embraced this family drama. Throughout the weekend, national multiplex chains - PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis - contributed roughly 48 percent, with non-national chains and single screens contributing another 52 percent. Raksha Bandhan box office collection day 5 report is given here.
|Day 1 [1st Thu]||Aug 11||₹8.2 Cr|
|Day 2 [1st Fri]||Aug 12||₹6.4 Cr|
|Day 3 [1st Sat]||Aug 13||₹6.51 Cr|
|Day 4 [1st Sun]||Aug 14||₹7.05 Cr|
|Day 5 [1st Mon]||Aug 15||₹5.98 Cr|
Raksha Bandhan should have clocked a four-day total of at least ₹40 crores, as this would have set the stage for reaching the half-century mark by Independence Day and then embarking on the trip to success by hitting a century.
