Rani Mukerji's movie Mardaani 2 movie is more popular than Rani Mukerji's movie Hichki (2018) and Mardaani (2014). In these movie Rani Mukerji playing a role of police officer Shivani Shivaji Roy who focus on that person who kidnaps, rapes and murders girls came to study in the city. Mardaani 2 is the sequle of Mardaani but mardaani which was released in 2014 was directed by Pradeep Sarkar while Mardaani 2 is directed by Gopi Puthran which released in 13 december 2019.

Mardaani 2 filim budget was ₹27 crore and this film earn only up to Rs 25.90 cr which was still less than it's budget but there is expectation to earn more than its budget.
