Mahabharata cast Lord Indra Satish Kaul 'struggling for basic needs' during Lockdown

Veteran actor Satish Kaul, who has worked in the serial Mahabharata, is currently facing financial crisis. Their situation has become worse due to national lockdown. Satish Kaul, who has worked in more than 300 Punjabi and Hindi films, played the role of Lord Indra in the Mahabharata. In a conversation with PTI, the 73-year-old actor said, 'I am living in a small rented house in Ludhiana. I was living in an old age home before this. My health is fine but the situation has deteriorated due to the lockdown.

He further said that 'I have to struggle for medicines, food and basic things. I appeal to the people of the industry to help me. I have received so much love as an actor. Now I need help as a human being.

However, Satish Kaul, who is best known as Lord Indra of BR Chopra's Mahabharat, asked members of the entertainment industry to reach out for help as the state of affairs deteriorated during the lockdown: 'I'm struggling for medicines, groceries and basic needs. I appeal to the industry people to help me. I got so much love as an actor, I need some attention now as a human in need,' Mr Kaul told PTI.

It is worth mentioning that Satish Kaul starred in Ajay Devgan and Kajol starrer film Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha and Govinda starrer film Aunty no. Have also worked in 1 '. He left Mumbai in 2011 and moved to Punjab and opened an acting school there. He told that his project could not succeed. After this, his hip bone fracture was done in the year 2015. He remained in bed for two and a half years due to his injury. Due to this, even the remaining work was lost with him. Only then did he take refuge in the Old Age Home and spent two years there.

Kaul said that 'I have got so much love from people, so even if people have forgotten me, then it is not a matter. I will always be grateful to the audience. Right now, I wish I had a nice living space where I could rest. I still have hunger for acting. I hope that some filmmaker would like to give me a role and I would like to work in any kind of role.
