Laxmii movie starring Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani is directed by Raghava Lawrence. It is a horror-comedy film releasing on Disney+ Hotstar on 9 November 2020. The film speaks for the transgender community of our society, it speaks for their rights and standard of living as normal people in our society. 

As we all know our society is divided into different categories, rich, poor, upper cast, lower cast, and the transgender community are one of them. Transgender from our countries do not get the chance to live their life in a normal way. Laxmii movie stands for them, stands for their right, and more of that it represents that it is normal to talk to them, to accept their choices. 

There is a video released by Fox Star Hindi where Kiara Advani and Akshay Kumar are talking about raising the issue of the transgender community in our society, that how they are not treated as normal people. In this new campaign, both of them are wearing a huge red bindi to show support for the transgender community. He says that it is our time to stand for them and accept them as a family.

Akshay Kumar is playing the role of a man who is not scared of ghosts, he gets possessed by transgender ghosts and gets dresses like them. He has broken all the stereotype thinkings of people by wearing bangles, saree and bindi. This movie stands for the acceptance of the trans community. 

Recently in an interview, the director of the film Raghava Lawrence said that " I'm running a trust and approached my trust for some transgender people who need help. When I listened to them, then reach me thought me all their stories should, have already been through the character of Kanchana and now in this film went to try to do this through the letters of Lakshmi. after watching the film the audience will know that I am about."

Laxmi movie was initially named 'Laxmmi Bomb' after receiving a legal notice from Karni Sena, the filmmakers decided to change the name from Laxmmi bomb to Laxmii. This movie is a Hindi language remake of a Tamil horror-comedy film Muni 2: Kanchana, produced by Raghava Lawrence which was released in 2011.
