Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film is a remake of the Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy. The box office collection of the film is Rs 70.83 crore in its opening weekend. Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer "Kabir Singh" going pretty well on Monday and it earned Rs 17.54 crore on Day 4, taking its total box office collection so far to Rs 88.37 crore.
Kabir Singh has already beaten the lifetime earnings of previous Shahid films such as R Rajkumar, Haider, Shaandaar, Kaminey and Batti Gul Meter Chalu. However, Shahid's biggest hit is 'Padmaavat', although he was overshadowed by Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh in this movie, according to most reviews.
Kabir Singh is released in 3123 screens across India. It is going strong in single screens as well as multiplexes. Kabir Singh is jointly produced by Cine1 Studios and T-Series and focuses on the protagonist, an alcoholic surgeon (played by Shahid Kapoor) who goes on a self-destructive path after his girlfriend (played by Kiara Advani) is forced to marry someone else.
