Kabir Singh box office collection Day 31 - Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer Kabir Singh has passed its fifth weekend also at a strong note. Released on June 21, Kabir Singh continued its dream run even in its fourth weekend. After the four remarkable weeks, it is still holding well in its fifth weekend despite Jon Favreau directional highly-buzzed new release The Lion King and the existing one Hrithik Roshan's Super 30, it remained almost unaffected at the box office and has crossed the mark of 270 crores within 31 days. Kabir Singh's box office collection is well set to touch the Rs 275 crore mark. It might not be Rs 300 crore, but it is close enough to this landmark. The film has comfortably surpassed the previous blockbuster - Vicky Kaushal's URI - The Surgical Strike.
Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film has now entered the fifth weekend and the film's box office collection was Rs 1.65 crores on his 5th Saturday and Rs 2.30 crore on Sunday respectively. Thus, making its total box office collections up-to the Rs 271.24 crore at the domestic box office. Kabir Singh did the business of Rs 134.42 crores from 3123 screens nationwide in the first week, Rs 78.78 crores in the second week, Rs 36.40 crores in third & Rs 16.66 crores in the fourth week.
Shahid Kapoor's film has been in the theaters for a month now, so it might not garner much interest. The film saw a wide release 493 screens in the overseas market. With positive reviews and immense hype, the film is expected to open on a high note in international markets as well.
Also, Kabir Singh is the first Indian film to cross A$ 1 million mark in Australia in 2019. The film is still running in theaters - has surpassed lifetime box office collections of several biggies like Gully Boy, URI, Bharat, Kalank, Kesari, Total Dhamaal in Australia.
Kabir Singh is the remake of Telugu film Arjun Reddy and is directed by Sandeep Vanga Reddy. In the film, Shahid Kapoor plays the lead role of Kabir Singh who takes to substance abuse after his girlfriend (played by Kiara Advani) is forced to marry another man.
Apart from Shahid Kapoor, the film also features Arjan Bajwa as Kabir Singh's brother, Suresh Oberoi as Kabir Singh's father, Kamini Kaushal, Adil Hussain and Nikita Dutta are the other actors playing supporting roles.
