Kabir Singh box office collection Day 17 - Shahid Kapoor's film strongly marching towards the Rs 250-crore mark

Kabir Singh box office collection Day 17: Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer "Kabir Singh" is still running strong at the box office after more than 2 weeks of its release. After crossing Rs 200 crore mark in its third week, the film is marching on towards the Rs 300-crore mark. The movie is the biggest solo film of Shahid Kapoor's career.

    The film's box office collection was Rs 7.51 crore on Saturday, and Rs 9.61 crore on Sunday respectively. Thus, bringing its total box office collection Rs 235.72 crore. The film also made a collection of Rs 134.42 crores in his first week, whereas in the second week the box office collections of the film were 78.78 crores.

Kabir Singh is a remake of Telugu film Arjun Reddy that also proved to be a hit at the box office. The film-makers are now expecting Kabir Singh to reach Rs 300 crore in its life-time. Kabir Singh has become one of the highest-grossing films of 2019. It has already surpassed the lifetime collection of Salman Khan's Bharat and is now eyeing to overcome Vicky Kaushal's Uri: The Surgical Strike.

Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film has been released in over 3,000 theatres across India and it is jointly produced by Cine1 Studios and T-Series. The story of Kabir Singh is a genius medical student and surgeon's love story, which is fast but extremely aggravating in the brain. In the film, Kira Advani played the role of Shahid Kapoor's girlfriend.

In overseas markets too, the film is performing very well. It is the top grossing Indian film in Australia of 2019.
