Story begins with Rupali's (Pranutan Bahl)'s father (Ashish Vidyarthi) rejecting Lucky (Aparshakti Khurana) as a prospective groom for his daughter because of his lower. Hurt by this & In order to become rich & prove himself to Rupali's father, he enlists Sultan (Abhishek Banerjee) and Minus (Ashish Verma) to help him steal boxes of supplies from a truck believed to be containing expensive electronic.items . unbeknownst to them, the truck is full of condoms. Lucky improvises on this development & does something innovative with it. Whats that? In order to know, you'll have to watch the film.
If we talk about performances and dialogues, the movie has done decent job. Everyone from lead actors Pranutan Bahl and Aparshakti Khurana to their supporting cast, Abhishek Banerjee, Ashish Verma, Sharib Hashmi and Ashish Vidyarthi have shown thier perfect comic skills & timings.
This cast is further supported by by Gopal Mudhane, Satramm Ramani, Rohan Shankar, Amit Tyagi and Ajay Singh's. The movie never digresses from the main message it wants to convey, & that is- the importance of contraception. Milin Jog's camerawork gives you a typical small town feel & the location's feel authentic, the editing (Manish Pradhan) of a Hindi film also looks crisp.
Although Satramm Ramani does a decent job as a co-writer, he slips when it comes to directing his subject, in the middle becomes little dragged & dull to say the least. Additionally, the music as well as the background score are a letdown, although there was not much scope for the music, still you can say that the music sometime becomes irritating.
Apart from few hiccups, Helmet makes condoms look funny, but at the same time, makers successfully convey the message regarding the importance of contraceptive measures. In its overall sense, the movie is one-time watch, majorly for its comic timing & the message involved. .
