These days many big bang web series are being released one after the other on the OTT platform. Meanwhile, many series also get into tremendous controversies on social media before release. Earlier, people's anger was seen about 'Family Man 2'. At the same time, now the controversy is being seen with the upcoming web series 'Grahan' on Disney Plus Hotstar. People are demanding to ban this series on Twitter. Not only this, its makers and OTT platform are also being threatened.

It is being told that the Grahan web series based on Satya Vyas's novel 'Chaurasi' is going to stream on June 24. Grahan web series has been mired in controversies since the release of the trailer. In which the story of the Anti-Sikh pogrom is shown after the assassination of the country's first woman Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The trailer also has many scenes of riots. Due to which people are seen expressing anger over this through #BanGrahanWebSeries on Twitter. People have accused this of hurting the sentiments of the Sikh community.

Twisted Facts 

Apart from this, Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) president Bibi Jagir Kaur has also lodged a protest against 'Grahan Web Series' and demanded that the series should be stopped at the earliest. She said- ''A Sikh character has been shown wrongly in the series. Serious allegations like genocide are being leveled against him, which are completely concocted."

She has also threatened to take action on the series. Kaur has said that- "If any objectionable thing or scene is shown in the Grahan web series, then be ready for legal action on it"

In this regard, a legal notice has also been sent to Ajay G Rai, the producer of the Grahan web series and Sunil Ryan, the head and chairman of 'Disney + Hotstar'. Bibi Jagir Kaur says that this web series is working to sprinkle salt on the wounds of Sikhs and hurt their sentiments. He has demanded that Sikh representatives should be included in the censor board itself.
