Eid Celebrations in India with restrictions due to Covid-19

Eid al-Adha, also called as Eid Qurban or Bakri-Eid, is two Islamic holidays celebrated worldwide each year. Bakri-Eid is known to conclude the annual Haj pilgrimage. Since India celebrates Bakri-Eid a day after Saudi Arabia except certain states. This year however celebrations are low key amid the Pandemic. 

Various parts of the Country animal sacrifices in public places or animal processions in the city have been prohibited. Given all the restrictions and safety measures on the account of Covid-19, Bakri-Eid will only be celebrated with one’s direct family.  

Even the Cinema lovers who always waited for Salman Khan’s movie on the occasion of Eid will have to find another substitute. As of Unlocking Process Movie halls are still closed till further notice. 

PM Modi greeted everyone on the occasion of Eid. The love & wishes could be seen on various social media platforms. From Bollywood stars to Sports stars all showered their wishes on their respective social media handles. 

Few netizens started rolling out various memes on #Bakralivesmatter some of them were for a good laugh but some seemed very demeaning. But on the other side Eid slay, Eid Food tags did some round which was a total treat to watch out on Twitter.
