Chup's box office earnings after one week in theatres are estimated to be ₹10.50 crores*. The movie made 3.06 crores on its opening day, which is a rather respectable amount. Even though National Cinema Day was credited with drawing large crowds, the niche movie struggled to keep up after that. On Saturday and Sunday, the revenue did hold up reasonably well, but starting on Monday, it was impossible to surpass the ₹1 crore milestone.
The movie performed similarly to Khuda Haafiz: Chapter 2, which was a movie with a different setting and zone. In its first week, the Vidyut Jammwal-starring film brought in ₹10.60 crores. Chup has already nearly matched that amount. The movie opened at ₹1.30 crores and continued to do okay in the second week until closing at ₹14.33 crores.
Since other major releases that have occupied screen time include Vikram Vedha and PS1, it would be interesting to observe how Chup develops. wouldn't be able to keep up the same pace. On Saturday and Sunday, the revenue did hold up reasonably well, but starting on Monday, it was impossible to surpass the ₹1 crore milestone. Chup box office collection day 8 report.
