Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Bharat is struggling to cross the Rs 200 crore mark. After its first week, it has collected Rs 179.1 crore, according to Bollywood Hungama. Now, if the second weekend will help its falling box office figures, will be known soon. On Friday, Bharat collected around Rs 5 crore and the numbers shows that it falls down in his earnings. Also, a lot of films released at the end of this weekend which affects the movie earnings for sure.

Ali Abbas Zafar directorial had a good start at the ticket counters. Cashing in on the festival of Eid, the film earned Rs 42.30 crore on its opening day. It became the highest Bollywood opener of 2019. Despite a slight fall in the collection on its second and third day, the film picked up again during the weekend and gave Khan another hit of his career. 

Apart from breaking the opening day record of Sultan and Ek Tha Tiger, Bharat also triumphed over several other Bollywood releases of this year, including Kalank (Rs 21.60 crore), Kesari (21.06 crore), Gully Boy (Rs 19.40 crore) and Total Dhamaal (Rs 16.50 crore), mentioned Taran Adarsh. Bharat was released across 4,700 screens in India and over 1,300 screens overseas. The film has received a mixed response from the critics. Taran Adarsh has given Bharat '4 stars' and has called Salman Khan the lifeline of the movie. Ali Abbas Zafar's directorial is a mix of action, humour, drama and emotions. Apart from Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, the film features Kumud Raina, Tabu as Meher, Sunil Grover as Vilayti Khan and Disha Patani as Radha.
