Article 15 box office collection Day 5 - Ayushmann Khurrana starrer "Article 15" managed to do a good business at the box office. Article 15 box office collection was Rs 20.04 crore in the opening weekend and till Monday, the film earned Rs 24.01 crore at the box office. Also, it has become the second-highest opener among Ayushmann Khurrana films after his 2018 blockbuster 'Badhaai Ho'.
Directed by Anubhav Sinha "Article 15" will going smoothly at the box office and the box office collection will be at around Rs 3.67 crore on Tuesday. Thus, the total box office collection of the film reached upto Rs 27.68 crore in five days of its release. However, the film received tough competition from Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer 'Kabir Singh' on its opening week.
Article 15 is based on the Badaun rape case of 2014 where two teenage Dalit girls were gang raped and murdered by men of higher caste. Ayushmann Khurrana plays the protagonists in the film. He portrays the role of IPS Ayan Ranjan who fights the system to bring to solve the case and punish the culprits. Apart from Ayushmann Khurrana, the film also stars Manoj Pahwa, Isha Talwar, Sayani Gupta and Mohamed Jeeshan Ayub in key roles.
Article 15 hit the screens on June 29 and was selected as the opening film for the 10th edition of the London Indian Film Festival.
