Article 15 box office collection Day 2 - Ayushmann Khurrana starrer "Article 15" gets a decent start and with the rave reviews pouring in, the movie is expected to do well in the days to come. The film opened to positive reviews and comes with a huge advantage. Ayushmann whose last films 'Andhadhun' and 'Badhaai Ho' were hits at the box office. However, the film will face in a challenge from Shahid Kapoor starrer Kabir Singh. The Box Office India reports adds that though Kabir Singh box office collection saw a slight drop on Thursday, but it will get up in its earnings on Friday.
Directed by Anubhav Sinha, Article 15 opened at around 1600 screens, the box office collection of Article 15 The hard-hitting drama earned Rs 7.25 crore on his second day. Article 15 is a story about caste-based discrimination common in India and is based on the 2014 Badaun rape case. Ayushmann Khurrana plays an IPS officer Ayan Ranjan who gets his first posting in Lalgaon in Uttar Pradesh, where people wear their caste on their sleeves. The officer is optimistic about the future of the country until he sees the harsh reality of the society he lives in.
Apart from Ayushmann Khurrana, the film also features Manoj Pahwa, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Isha Talwar, Kumud Mishra, Sayani Gupta plays important roles.
Directed by Anubhav Sinha, Article 15 hit the screens on June 28.
