Anushka Sharma slams Sunil Gavaskar

After Virat Kohli failed to perform in yesterday's IPL match, commentator Sunil Gavaskar made a distasteful commentary blaming Virat's wife Anushka for the same. The veteran cricketer said "Inhone lockdown main bas Anushka Ki gendo ki practice ki hai". After such distasteful comments by Gavaskar, Anushka has finally reacted and she seems furious at the trolls which drag him for her husband's performance.

The PK actress wrote, "What is distasteful is the fact that I would love for you to explain why you thought of making such a sweeping comment on a wife accusing her for her husband's performance. I'm sure over the years you've respected the private lives of cricketers while commentating on the game. Don't you think you should have an equal amount of respect for me and us?"

She further wrote, "I'm sure you can have many other words and statements In your mind to comment on my husband's performance from last night or are you words only relevant if you use my name in the process? It's 2020 and things don't change for me. I don't know when I stop getting dragged into cricket and stop being used to pass sweeping comments? Mr. Gavaskar you are a legend whose name stands tall in the gentlemen's game. Just wanted to tell you what I felt when I heard you saying this."
