Bollywood film producer Anil Suri Passes Away at 77 due to COVID19

The Bollywood film industry has received another major setback. The famous film producer Anil Suri from the film industry passed away. Anil Suri died at the age of 77 from a coronavirus infection. Anil's death was confirmed by his brother Rajiv Suri. Anil Suri has given many memorable super hits and movies in his film career. Anil Suri passes away due to coronavirus, said his brother Rajiv Suri.

“He was then taken to the Advanced Multispecialty Hospital on Wednesday night. I had COVID-19. On Thursday night, they said something was wrong, and put it on a fan. He died around 7 pm,” Rajiv Suri told PTI.

Anil Suri Passes Away at 77

Anil Suri's brother Rajiv Suri told the news portal that Anil's health worsened and that he was first taken to Lilavati, then to the Hinduja Hospital. But in both medical institutions, they were prohibited from giving beds. Following this, Anil was finally taken to the Advanced Multispecialty Hospital. As he was put on a respirator on Wednesday, he last breathed around 7 pm on Friday night.

Anil Suri was the producer of the movie 'Karmayogi'. The film was a great success. The movie starred Raj Kapoor, Jitendra, and Rekha. His 'Raj Tilak' was also known in theaters. It starred Sunil Dutt, Raj Kumar, Hema Malini, Dharmendra, Reena Roy, Sarika, and Kamal Haasan. Bollywood producer Anil Suri, who funded films such as the lead in Raaj Kumar-Rekha Karmayogi and Raaj Tilak, passed away Thursday from coronavirus.

The last Anil Suri rites were carried out on Friday morning at the Oshiwara cremation site with the assistance of four family members wearing personal protective equipment (PPE). In addition to Rajiv Suri, Anil is survived by two sons and his wife.

Rajiv, who had produced the 1979 Basu Chatterjee Manzil film with Amitabh Bachchan and Moushumi Chatterjee, said it was heartbreaking to lose one of his favorite directors and brother the same day. Chatterjee last breathed on Thursday morning.
