It was started by Akshay Kumar with a support amount of 25 crores in the PM Cares Fund. Even after this, Akshay has been giving help when needed. Now he has donated an amount of 2 crores to the Mumbai Police Foundation, for which he has been thanked by the Mumbai Police Commissioner.
The interesting point here is that Akshay Kumar is playing the role of a police officer in Rohit Shetty's film Suryavanshi, which was scheduled to be released on March 24, before the terror of the Coronavirus, but due to cinemas being closed in mid-March The film's release was postponed.
