Recently, the Twitter account of Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has been suspended permanently. The actress had on Tuesday expressed her displeasure over the violence in West Bengal. Kangana also demanded Central Government to impose President's rule in Bengal, after which her account has been suspended. At the same time, Twitter has given a statement that those who violate the rules of Twitter, their account will be suspended.
Twitter has said that according to the rules of the micro-blogging site, the account of actress Kangana Ranaut has been suspended for repeated violations of the 'hateful conduct and abusive behavior' policy. A Twitter spokesperson said, "We have made it clear that we will take strong action on behavior that can cause harm to someone offline."
The spokesperson added, "We apply Twitter rules judiciously and impartially on all of us." Twitter quoted the policy as stating that when the account is permanently closed, the account holder is told which rules they have violated. On Monday, writer-songwriter Hussain Hydari shared two tweets of the actress asking people to report the account.
Actually, Kangana is known for making inflammatory tweets. He made several posts about the Trinamool Congress victory in West Bengal and the post-election violence. Seeking President's rule in the state, the actress blamed Mamata Banerjee for the violence and addressed her with names that cannot be published.
At the same time, Kangana also did not remain calm after the account was suspended. He said in his statement, 'Twitter has always proved that he is American by birth. He feels that a white person is entitled to enslave a person (black) living in India. They want to tell you what to think, speak and do. I have many forums that I can use to raise my voice.'
