‘Salaam Venky’ is one of the year’s most anticipated movies, and the fan of Kajol is eagerly waiting to witness the film in cinemas. The movie is directed by veteran actor-director Revathy, this movie is her 5th directorial venture of Revathy after her the projects like ‘Mumbai Cutting’, ‘Mitr’, ‘Phir Milenge’ and ‘Kerala Café.  

With this novel and a unique tale about a mother’s pure love for her son, she is making a comeback in a direction almost after 12 years long. Kajol announced this film officially on Instagram on November 10, by sharing the first poster of the film. She also revealed the date of trailer release date which was out on November 14, 2022.

Salaam Venky Star Cast 

Kajol is playing the role of a mother like Sujatha. She was recently seen in the family drama movie Tribhanga was released on Netflix in 2021. Her last movies were Tanhaji, opposite her husband Ajay Devgn. 

Young versatile actor Vishal Jethwa is playing the role of a son Venkatesh. He was seen in some of the hot movies like Mardaani 2, with which he was recognized as a talented actor, and critics praised his performance in the villain role. 

Both are in the lead roles, along with Rajeev Khandelwal, Rahul Bose, and Aahana Kumra playing the key roles, and Aamir Khan in a cameo role.

Salaam Venky Storyline 

The movie stars Kajol and Vishal Jethwa in the roles, the storyline of the film revolves around a true story of a mother and her son, Venky suffers from terminally ill issues with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Sujata has always fulfilled his son’s wish, but his wish of dying is not possible for a mother. The story will showcase how a mother struggles yet counts every moment with the hope to make her better than before. 

Salaam Venky Release Date 

The movie is slated to release on 9th December 2022 at the box office. As confirmed by the Bollywood reports, this whole concept of the movie is based on a true story, unveiled by Revathy, produced by Shraddha Agrawal and Suraj Singh under their banners RTake Studios and Blive Productions.
