The West Bengal Police Department on Sunday successfully conducts Final Written Examination for the post of Sub Inspector (SI) in WB Police. Recruitment Cell, WB organizes the Final Combined Competitive Written Examination at allotted centres in Kolkata and other cities, following the social-distancing. As WB Police successfully conducts the SI exam on 22 November, 2020, an intimation in regarding the publication of Provisional Answer key, challenges against it to be facilitated at website- wbpolice.gov.in.
Ahead of the publication of Sub Inspector Final Written Exam (FWE) Answer key, an analysis of Single shift question paper is made. Candidates appear for the SI FWE exam on 22 November (Sunday), can check question paper analysis, students' views after the examination and experts' opinion on paper difficulty level.
Based on the schedule, West Bengal Police conducts the Final Written Examination on November 22, for the Sub Inspector (UB and AB) in WB Police. The examination was conducted following the social-distancing norms and Covid safety protocol. Candidates were allowed only wearing face masks/ covers inside the examination hall. No candidate was allowed to take part in the Final Combined Competitive Written Examination without wearing a new 3 ply mask. Candidates were asked to follow the norms of physical distancing and hand hygiene. Candidate’s body temperature and oxygen saturation (SPO2) level were measured on his arrival at the entrance of the venue.
Final Combined Competitive Written Examination for recruitment to the post of Sub-Inspector of Police in West Bengal Police - 2019 was conducted on 22.11.2020 (Sunday) from 11:00 AM to 4:30 PM. WB Police Sub Inspector (UB and AB) Final Combined Competitive Examination was of 200 marks. The FWE examination consisted of three papers of conventional type of questions, namely a) Paper-I: General Studies and Arithmetic for 100 marks (50 marks for General Studies and 25 marks for Logical & Analytical reasoning and 25 marks for Arithmetic) of 2 (two) hours duration. b) Paper-II :- English of 50 marks of 1 (one) hour duration. c) Paper-III :- Bengali/ Hindi/ Urdu/ Nepali of 50 marks of 1 (one) hour duration.
The question paper for paper-I (General Studies and Arithmetic) of Final Combined Competitive Examination was set in three languages (English, Bengali and Nepali). The candidate need to answer in any of these languages but all the answers must be in one and the same language.

WB Police SI Expected Cut-off: The West Bengal Police Recruitment Board shall have the discretion to fix qualifying marks in all or any of the three papers and also in the aggregate of three papers in the Final Combined Competitive Examination. A limited number of the candidates selected merit-wise on the results of Final Combined Competitive Examination will be called on to appear at the Personality Test. The minimum pass mark for the personality test will be 08(eight).
