Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts NDA & NA (II), Examination 2021 on Sunday, November 14. OMR based examination was reportedly held successfully for the first time with girl students seating, in two shifts. The examination aimed to shortlist candidates for training into National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) took place at designated centres across the country. Candidates who appear in NDA & NA 2, 2021 now can check the paper analysis with unofficial solutions as reviewed by exam experts.
The official answer key of the UPSC NDA & NA (2) exam will be published by the commission on its official website upsc.gov.in. It shall likely be available within 15 days of the examination. However, any official date regarding the publication of the key is still awaited.
According to the candidates, NDA 2, 2021 examination was moderate in level. All the questions in the exam were objective type and multiple-choice type. The medium of the examination was bilingual i.e. English & Hindi. A total of 270 questions were divided into two papers- Paper-1 (General Ability Test) and Paper-2 (Mathematics) were there in the examination. A total of 900 marks (300 Marks for Mathematics and 600 Marks for General Ability Test) are there in the examination. The candidates have to attempt each question paper in a time duration of 150 minutes.
GAT: General Aptitude Test consisted of questions from Physics, Chemistry, General Science, Geography, Current Affairs, History/ Freedom Movement. Of the total 150 questions, 50 were from English and 100 were from the General Knowledge section.

As far as the marking scheme is concerned, in Mathematics, there were a total of 120 questions of 300 marks. All questions carry 2.5 marks each for the correct answer. while 0.83 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer. In GAT, candidates will be awarded 4 marks for each correct answer, while a deduction of 1.33 marks is applicable for each wrong answer. There is no mark for unanswered questions.
Candidates who qualify through the UPSC NDA & NA (II) written test will be eligible for SSB Interviews to be held in two stages for a period of 5 days. The schedule for SSB Interviews will be issued at upsc.gov.in after the result declaration.
