The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the UGC NET December 20 & January 21 Examination. In the same row on November 25, 2021 (Thursday) agency organized the online exam for Commerce (Subject Code 08) and Music (Code 16) subjects. According to the reports, the exam for shift 1 is now over with a moderate difficulty level for commerce.
The first shift exam which began at 9:30 am lasted at 12:30 pm while 2nd shift exam is scheduled from 2:30 to 5:30 pm. Reports suggest that the exam is being held following the social distancing and other COVID 19 protocols.
Once the examination is over, the nodal agency shall issue UGC NET answer key of November 25 held Commerce, Music and Visual Arts response sheet and intimation regarding challenges. Candidates who appear for the computer-based test mode can check the availability of the answer key at the website - ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
The NTA will display the recorded responses and answer key of UGC NET December 2020 and June 2021 papers attempted by the candidates on its website ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The responses will be displayed for a two to three days time period. It is highly predicted that ahead of the result, the key will be released allowing candidates to challenge the key, for any objection/challenge is found.
Candidates will be given an opportunity to make a challenge online against the Provisional Answer Key on payment of Rs. 1000 per question challenged as processing charges.
The first shift examination was held from 09:30 am- 12:30 pm, followed by the second shift examination from 02:30 pm- 5:30 pm. Candidates shall not be permitted to enter the examination center after 8.30 am in First Shift and after 1.30 pm in Second Shift.
Commerce (Subject Code 08): In the examination questions were asked from the topics including Business Environment and International Business, Business Economics, Legal Aspects of Business, Business Statistics, Marketing Management, Financial Institutions, etc. One has to answer a maximum of as many as correct responses, as there is negative marking in the exam.
Paper 1 consisted of 50 questions with each question comprising of 2 marks, while Commerce Paper 2 consists of 100 multiple-choice type questions with similar marking scheme.

Music (Subject Code 16): The candidate is required to answer a maximum of 15, 25, and 20 questions from Part-A, Part-B, and Part-C respectively. If more than the required number of questions are answered, only the first 15, 25, and 20 questions in Part A, Part B, and Part C respectively will be taken up for evaluation. There is a negative marking for parts A, B & C is at 25%.
