SSC JE 24 March Paper Analysis: Shift 1 & 2 Asked Questions, Answer key & Difficulty Level

Staff Selection Commission on Wednesday holds Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Quantity Surveying) written examination in two shifts. After each shift of examination, an analysis of the JE Subject-wise paper is being shared here.

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts JE Paper 1 Computer-Based Examination on 24th March for the last day. The examination is being conducted following the social-distancing and other guidelines in two shifts i.e first from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon and second from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM (yet to commence). Once the examination is over at designated centres and students start coming out of the centre provide their feedback regarding the difficulty level of the examination and asked questions.

Candidates who appear for the Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Quantity Surveying & Contracts) Examination, 2020 Paper 1 held on March 24, go through the analysis and responses facilitated by the experts regarding the examination, difficulty level, safe score, and expected cutoff marks.

Paper 1 is conducted in Online computer-based mode at the designated centers across the country. In CBE all the questions were compulsory and were in Objective Type MCQ Format. Each question carries 1 mark. All the sections of Paper 1 were in English and Hindi Language and were to be answered on the computer screen. As many as 200 Objective type MCQs were asked in a two-hour time duration examination consisting of General Intelligence, General Awareness, and General Engineering.

General Awareness: Multiple Choice Type 50 questions were asked from the General Awareness section. Questions were to test the knowledge of Indian History, Indian Geography, Polity, Economics, Current Affairs, Sports, Headquarters, Awards, and Research.

Reasoning: Questions from this section that were asked in the first shift were from Analogies, Classification, Coding-Decoding, Puzzle, Matrix, Venn Diagram, Direction and distance, Blood relations, Number/Digit Series and Non-Verbal Reasoning like Paper-folding and Mirror Image.

General Engineering: As many as 100 questions were asked from the Subject-specific part. According to the experts, candidates scoring 60 to 70 correct questions would stand a good chance to qualify for the examination. S

SC JE Paper 1 analysis of 24 March to be aired after the examination gets over at 12:00 noon. Experts' views and responses on General Awareness, General Reasoning, and Subject-specific paper will be facilitated.
