SSC JE Paper 1, Analysis: The Staff Selection Commission on Tuesday, has organized the first shift examination to the post of Junior Engineer (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Quantity Surveying & Contracts) Exam 2020. As the Morning session examination gets over, an analysis of the SSC JE 23rd March shift 1 online computer-based exam is hereby facilitated.
Candidates coming out of the examination centre after taking the JE Paper 1, 2020 Examination on Tuesday, provide feedback regarding the difficulty level and asked questions in March 23, shift 1 CBE and the same is being shared below.
Candidates who appear for the Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quantity Surveying & Contracts) Examination, 2020 Paper 1 held on 22/03/2021 go through the analysis and responses provided by the experts regarding the examination, difficulty level, safe score and expected cut off marks.
According to the revised schedule, the JE Paper-I (CBE) is scheduled from 22 March to 24 March. After the examination is conducted successfully, Commission shall release the official Answer key at https://ssc.nic.in.
On Monday, SSC commenced the computer-based examination for Junior Engineer (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Quantity Surveying etc.) for Paper 1. Here is the analysis of shift 1 and 2 of 22nd March. SSC JE Paper-I has scheduled to be conducted in two shifts. The timing of the first shift is 10 AM to 12 PM and for the second shift is 3 PM to 5 PM.
SSC JE 23 March Paper Analysis: Shift 1
General Intelligence and Reasoning - (50 Questions)- Questions from this section that were asked in first shift were from Analogies, Classification, Coding-Decoding, Puzzle, Matrix, Venn Diagram, Direction and distance, Blood relations, Number/Digit Series and Non-Verbal Reasoning like Paper-folding and Mirror Image. Level- Easy
General Awareness: Multiple choice type 50 questions were asked from History, Geography, Polity, Economics, Current Affairs, Sports, Headquarters, Awards and Research. Level- Moderate
General Engineering (Civil): As many as 100 questions were asked from the Subject-specific part. According to the experts, candidates scoring 60 to 70 questions correct would stand a good chance to qualify the paper 1.
SSC JE Paper 1 analysis of 23 March Shift 1 CBE to commence after the examination is over i.e at 12:00 noon. Experts' views and responses on General Awareness, General Reasoning, and Subject (Civil) paper will be shared.

About SSC JE Paper 1 Online Examination held on March 23.
Paper 1 is conducted in Online computer-based mode at the designated centres across the country. In CBE all the questions were compulsory and were in Objective Type MCQ Format. Each question carries 1 mark. All the sections of Paper 1 were in English and Hindi Language and were to be answered on the computer screen. As many as 200 Objective type MCQs were asked in a two-hour time duration examination consisting of General Intelligence, General Awareness and General Engineering.
