The Computer Based examination for Non-Technical Popular Categories posts under CEN 01/2019 has been successfully conducted on Thursday, January 7 under the Phase 1. Participating RRBs conduct the NTPC Stage 1 examination at the designated centres across the country. An analysis of the questions provided by the students of January 7 first shift examination analysis, is hereby shared.
Official Answer key of NPTC phase 1 exam is expected to be released after the examination is over. After the NTPC Computer Based Examination is over, RRBs are expected to display provisional and final Answer key with response sheets and intimation regarding challenges. The first examination on Thursday is conducted in Morning session with an aim to shortlist candidates for the Stage 2 examination. After the examination is over, candidates who appeared for the 1st Shift examination (held on 07/01/2021), have briefed on the exam ingrediants.
According to a report published in leading daily, the examination on 7th January is conducted following the social-distancing and other safety guidelines at the centres. As many as 1 lakh candidates were to appear for the shift 1 examination in contest to the 35,208+73 Graduate and Undergraduate vacancies in participating RRBs. RRB NTPC 7 January 1st Shift Analysis:
As many as 100 multiple choice based questions are asked in the Computer based examination, Stage 1. A time duration of 90 minutes or 1 Hr, 30 Min was alloted to answer the questions. There is a negative marking of 0.33 for every wrong answer marked by a candidate.
Asked Questions in first shift:
Quantitative Aptitude: 30 questions in Objective type format were asked including of more than 3 questions were asked from Number system, Mensuration, Time and Distance, 3 Questions from BODMAS, Train-Speed, Data Interpretation, Geometry, Simple and Compount Interest.
Reasoning: Questions from Puzzle, Coding-Decoding, Non-Verbal reasoning have been asked in majority in 1st shift Online examination.
Shift 1 Analysis: Overall Paper Analysis- Difficult level
Shift 2 Analysis: Overall Analysis- Moderate Level

General Awareness: As many as 40 questions were asked from the General Awareness section. Questions from Current affairs, National and International events, followed by static GK, Defence Exercises, International Organizations, Full Form etc. were asked in shift 1 examnation.
