Railways Recruitment Boards once again on Wednesday, January 20 conduct NTPC Computer-based examination for phase-2. The examination is organized following the social distancing. Board is expected to release the answer key after the examination is over at board websites.

The Indian Railways, RRB Boards would be releasing the answer keys of NTPC 1st Stage Computer-based exam for phase 2, scheduled between 16 to 30 January 2021. Candidates who answer the CEN 01/2019 RRB CEN January 20, 2021, organized Morning or Evening shift examination will be eligible to download the Answer key, response sheet, and question paper in pdf format from the websites of respective RRB.

Ahead of the publication of the official Answer key by RRBs, an analysis of the 1st and 2nd shift paper with experts' views on difficulty level will be shared for the reference of the candidates appearing, to appear for the NTPC examination.

According to the reports, NTPC 20 January first shift online examination is organized successfully at the centres designated by the RRB Chennai. The examination is conducted as per guidelines of Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India. The candidates who were to appear for the RRB NTPC phase 2 exam were instructed to have face mask/ cover on the face.

Candidates were allowed carrying hand sanitiser inside the examination hall only after the thermal scanning. As many as 1 lakh candidates are lined-up to take each shift NTPC Computer-based examination being held at centres across the country.   

The candidates coming out of the examination centres reportedly told that the first shift examination was of moderate level. As many as 100 questions were asked from three sections- General Awareness, Reasoning and General Intelligence, and Mathematics. There is negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer, to be marked by a candidate in CBT 1.

NTPC CBT question paper consisted of a total of 100 Multiple choice based Objective type questions carrying 1 mark each. There were 40 questions from General Awareness section followed by 30 each of Mathematics and Reasoning. Candidates were given a total of 90 minutes time duration to attempt the Computer-based test.

Shift 1 Difficulty Level- According to a candidate, the overall level of first shift examination was easy. Questions from the Mathematics section were of moderate level, Reasoning was easy followed by General Awareness in which except a few questions, questions were of easy to moderate level.

As per the initial reports received, the question paper was easy to a moderate level, except 4 to 5 questions asked were a bit tricky.
