The National Council of Educational Research & Training (NCERT) has conducted the NTSE Stage-2 examination on February 14. The examination is held successfully following the Covid19 guidelines. As many as 7,586 candidates reportedly appeared for the 14 February 2021 scheduled National Talent Search Examination 2021 (Stage II). NTS Stage 2 exam is conducted at 58 centers across 40 cities including Srinagar, Kolkata, Chennai, Kavaratti, Port Blair, Gangtok, and others, News agency ANI reported.
According to the sources NCERT would be publishing the Answer key of NTSE Stage 2 exam shortly on its official website. Ahead of the announcements of results of the National Level Exam (Stage 2) the Answer key shall likely be made available on the website of the National Council of Educational Research & Training. Mental Ability Test (MAT): There were total of 100 multiple-choice type questions, with four alternatives were asked. Each question carried one mark. Candidates were required to answer the questions on a separate OMR sheet as per instructions given in the test booklet and on the OMR sheet.
Scholastic Aptitude Test: In the scholastic Aptitude Test as many as 100 multiple-choice questions of one mark each were asked. Each question had four alternatives, out of which only one was the correct answer. There were 40 questions from Science, 40 from Social Science and 20 from Mathematics, Candidates were required to answer the items on a separate OMR sheet to be provided at the examination center.

NTSE Stage 2 Result: The scoring of the OMR-sheets for both the MAT and the SAT shall be done through the computer. All possible precautions are taken and necessary checks applied while processing the result to ensure zero error results.
The final award shall be declared on the basis of combined scores of MAT and SAT. Only the selected candidates shall be informed by registered letter and through NCERT website www.ncert.nic.in. Marks obtained by the candidates in the written examination will be revealed to all the candidates individually through the NCERT website.
Disbursement of Scholarship: The awardees studying in Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities, Languages Commerce, vocational studies, and fine arts are eligible to receive a scholarship up to Ph.D. level whereas the awardees studying professional courses in medicines, engineering, technology, management and law, are eligible to receive the scholarship up to second-degree level.
