National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) conducts the Entrance examination on Sunday, February 14. The examination is held in consisting of three phases Creative Ability Test (CAT), General Ability Test (GAT), and Situation Test. NIFT 2021 is reportedly conducted successfully for the candidates registered for the written test held on 14-Feb-2021.
The candidates who appear for the NIFT 2021 exam have a look at the paper analysis of the NIFT 2021 for English, Quantitative Aptitude, Analytical Ability, General Knowledge, & Communication Ability. The NIFT asked the candidates to bring the Admit Card and a self-declaration (Undertaking) among essential documents for appearing in the written examination.
The written entrance examination is designed to test the knowledge, skill, and aptitude of the candidates for the program opted. A Paper-Based Test (PBT) for all UG and PG Programmes is conducted at designated centers maintaining the social distancing and other Covid19 guidelines.
The NIFT 2021 exam is held in 32 cities across the country for admission to B.Des Program- GAT, B.Des Program- CAT, BF Tech. Program- GAT, M.Des Program- GAT, M.Des Program- CAT, MFM Program- GAT, and MF Tech. Program- GAT mode. According to the schedule after the examination is over NIFT shall likely display the official Answer key ahead of the announcement of results at the website www.nift.ac.in.
NIFT 2021 Paper Analysis:
As the reports coming in the duration of the NIFT 2021 examination was two hours. There were a total of 100 questions that were asked from registered candidates for NIFT 2021. The questions were from English Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude, General Knowledge, and Analytical Ability.

English Comprehension- 25 questions from the English section were asked in GAT format to scrutinize the ability of the candidates in understanding a situation from a given passage.
Quantitative Ability- 20 questions- This section of GAT, questions were asked from the topics such as division, fractions, percentages, addition, multiplication, interest rates, ratio & proportion, distance, and work.
Communication Ability- 25 questions with an aim to evaluate the ability of daily communication in the English language. Students were to answer the questions on synonyms, antonyms, one-word substitutes, idioms and phrases, correct spellings, singular, plural and words with corresponding meanings.
Analytical Ability- A total of 15 questions in OMR based format were asked from this section. The test was to test the ability of the candidates to draw inference and logic from the given information.
General Knowledge and Current Affairs - A total of 15 questions were asked from Current Affairs, Static GK, National & International events, Organizations.
On the basis of the result of the written test GAT and CAT, B.Des candidates will be called for a second test called Situation Test. For B.F.Tech., GAT will be the final test for selection. The candidates for M.Des will take GAT and CAT. On the basis of results of GAT and CAT, in the case of M.Des. and GAT in case of M.F Tech and MFM, candidates will be called for Group Discussion/Personal Interview.
