Maharashtra Common Entrance Test Cell on Thursday, September 23 organizes the MHT CET second shift exam for PCM group. The test comprising of mcqs from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics is held successfully at all the exam centres across Maharashtra. The candidates who appear for MHT CET September 23 second shift exam now can check the analysis of 1st/ 2nd shift computer based exam here. According to the responses provided by candidates, today's 2nd shift exam was balanced however, and questions from Chemistry and Physics were a bit tricky in comparison to the previous shift. The mathematics questions were comparatively easier.
A total 150 questions were asked from the candidates. As many as 100 questions were asked from Mathematics, 50 questions each from Physics and Chemistry subjects. All the questions have to be attempted in a time duration of 180 minutes.
According to the candidates, approximately 10 questions were asked from the Class 11th syllabus, whereas, majority of the questions were based on the Class 12th syllabus. In Mathematics, the maximum number of marks that can be allotted to a candidate is 100, whereas, in Physics and Chemistry, 50 marks. The level of the MHT CET is at par with the JEE Main paper 1.

Chemistry Questions: Questions in this section were asked from topics including- States of Matter: Gases and liquids, Redox reaction, Surface Chemistry, Nature of chemical bond, Hydrogen, s-Block elements (Alkali and alkaline earth metals), Basic principles & techniques in Organic Chemistry, Alkanes, etc.
Physics Questions: A total of 50 questions were asked from topics including Units & Measurements, Scalars, and Vectors Quantity, Force, Friction in solids and liquids, Refraction of Light, Ray optics, Magnetic effect of Electric Current, Magnetism, Communication system, etc.
