CET Cell on Wednesday, October 7 conducts MHT CET (PCB) online examination in two shifts. MHT CET October 7, 2020 Online Computer Based Test (CBT) held successfully at allotted centres. Entry for the 1st Shift was allowed at 7:30 AM and for Shift 2 at 2:30 pm. Last entry permitted in examination hall was given at 8:45 AM and 1:45 PM respectively for shift 1 and 2. Online MHT CET began at 9:00 AM for 1st Shift and 2:00 PM for shift 2nd. CET Cell conducts Online MHT CET (PCB) 7th October MHT CET PCB exam for the 6th time as it commenced from 1st October. The Online CBT test held in two shifts i.e Morning shift starting from 09:00 AM to 12:00 AM and Afternoon shift from 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM. In October 1, organized MHT CET examination 20% weightage was given to the questions from Class 11th syllabus and 80% weightage to the questions from Class 12th syllabus while setting the Question Papers.
It should be noted that there is no negative marking in the examination for wrong answers marked by candidates. The questions asked in the MHT-CET 8 October 2020 examination (PCB) were from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany, Zoology). The question papers carried a total 200 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) containing 4 options. The time duration of the MHT CET PCB was allotted 180 minutes.
From Physics section Questions were asked from Units & Measurements, Scalars and Vectors Quantity, Force, Friction in solids and liquids, Refraction of Light, Ray optics, Magnetic effect of Electric Current and Magnetism etc.
From Chemistry questions were asked from- Basic concepts of Chemistry, States of matter: Gases and liquids, Redox reaction, Surface Chemistry, Nature of chemical bond, Hydrogen, s-Block elements (Alkali and alkaline earth metals), Basic principles & techniques in Organic Chemistry and Alkanes.
